Primary Role
Apply advanced analytics on disparate data sources to generate
insights which drive top and/or bottom-line growth and
improvement
Key Accountabilities
Experience solving business problems across different units and
using different sizes and kinds of data sets.
Must have great collaboration and communication skills. Must be
able to explain technical to functional folks and vice versa.
Uses deep learning, and other data science techniques to create
analytics solutions to business problems and make data-driven
recommendations within Customer
Programs applications using Python, Pandas and SQL
Works with Visualization products to create Dashboards
Remote role within the American Water footprint.
Knowledge/Skills
Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching,
collaborating, and team building
Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, precise, and
actionable manner
Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities,
ambiguity, and rapid change.
Strong understanding of programming with Python, SQL or with
Notebooks like Jupyter.
Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a
scalable and highly available application
Experience/Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics,
Statistics, Computer Science, or related discipline
Advanced degree a plus.
4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Statistician, or a
Quantitative Analyst
Experience designing and building statistical forecasting models
and dashboard builds.
