Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Electrician to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic systems, wiring, fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems, utilizing advanced troubleshooting, testing, and repair methods.

Essential Job Functions:

- Installation & Maintenance: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot control and distribution apparatus (switches, relays, circuit breakers, control panels), drive systems (variable frequency, eddy current, DC), and programmable logic control (PLC) systems. Modify PLC control logic as needed.

- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair industrial electrical issues across systems, including motor control centers, motor start circuits, control loops, generators, high voltage switchgear, protective relaying, and other related equipment.

- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to install, calibrate, and maintain electrical systems and apparatus.

- Electrical Wiring: Install electrical conduit, pull and terminate wiring, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational specifications.

- Testing & Repair: Use a variety of electrical and electronic testing equipment (multi-meters, ammeters, oscilloscopes, digital probes, etc.) to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.

- Preventive Maintenance: Assist in establishing and maintaining scheduled maintenance programs for plant equipment, following CMMS guidelines.

- Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company safety standards, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment in compliance with legal codes and regulations.

- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to 24-hour emergency call-outs, ensuring quick resolution of electrical issues.

- Other Responsibilities: Report any animal welfare-related or food safety issues immediately to management, and maintain punctual attendance while adhering to company policies and procedures.


Minimum Required Qualifications:

- Licensure: Possession of a Journeyman license to perform electrical work in a City/Borough/Municipality or County.

- Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of experience in industrial electrical installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, with relevant training.

- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of electrical codes and regulations, along with expertise in high-voltage switchgear, protective relaying, grounding procedures, safety standards, and electrical test equipment.

- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information.

- Electrical & Instrumentation Knowledge: Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and service manuals to troubleshoot, install, and repair systems.

- Tool Proficiency: Skilled in the use of electrical equipment and tools, with substantial knowledge of methods, practices, and safety standards.

- Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of maintenance CMMS systems and Microsoft Outlook.

- Decision-Making & Independence: Ability to independently make decisions with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.

- Teamwork: Strong collaboration skills, with a willingness to assist others and contribute to team success.

- Work Efficiency: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.

- Knowledge of GMP: Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is essential.
