General Summary The Sr Manager of IT- Enterprise Trade and Sales Systems is responsible for leading the companys trade management technology strategy and related systems to deliver growth opportunities for all sales organizations on $1.6 billion in trade spend. This includes leading a team in the development of a strategic roadmap, service delivery management, technical support, development and delivery of Trade related systems, including the CAS TPM solution, e4. The role is accountable for designing, building, measuring, and enhancing the service, as well as service delivery and cost optimization of the infrastructure and internal / external support. The role also works with our business partners and service owners to understand and deliver the business outcomes of the service, and with architects, foundational service managers, and external service providers to manage the underlying technologies. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Trade Promotion Management and execution, SAP Master Data, Integration technologies, Accenture CAS technology, SAP transactional components, strong Project Management experience and vendor relationship management. The candidate should also have strong foundational business acumen and can influence Sales leadership to find the ideal approach to the management of trade spend. Principle Responsibilities: 30% Technology and Process Leader - Develop and manage enterprise trade system strategic roadmap - Lead architectural and technical design reviews related to development occurring in the Enterprise trade landscape and ensure they meet performance, scalability and fault tolerance requirements - Provide business partners system knowledge and process expertise across enterprise trade service platform. - Guide cross functional teams through enterprise trade process/system solutions to meet new business/customer requests. - Identify enterprise trade system and process risks and benefits associated with business solutions. - Communicate any global risk to IT and business partners. - Identify efficiencies in existing enterprise trade process/system functionality. - Ensure functional specifications are documented for all requests. - Liaison between development team and enterprise trade business partners. - Interacts with service architects, vendor management and functional IT service managers to identify and evaluate impact of new technologies and the architecture roadmap to the service - Review enterprise trade system technical design and technical specifications to ensure requirements are being met and to ensure there are no adverse process/system impacts. - Solutions and recommends new investment decisions for the enterprise trade promotion management service and ensures any new technologies have a service support structure. Escalates if necessary. 30% Service Management - Accountable for the design, delivery, and management of the Sales Trade Promotion Management end-to-end service, which includes coordination between the business, vendors, infrastructure and foundational IT teams. - Is accountable for service quality and escalates issues or opportunities accordingly. - Responsible for the technical availability of the e4 system during defined business hours while also ensuring off hour support, batch processing and nightly system updates. - Responsible to lead team and have oversight of any and all requests to update, maintain, or enhance enterprise trade solutions. - Management of monthly release sprints including testing strategy & execution, and code deployments - Maintain the integrity of enterprise trade system functionality during technical changes, system upgrades, global projects, and foundational service down times. - Provides regular IT and business partner agreed service metrics and analytics to ensure key performance indicators measure impact to business outcomes, key risk indicators provide early warning impact to business outcomes - Manages IT service cost drivers and connects cost of service to consumption drivers to drive optimization - Single point of engagement for functional IT service managers and Business Service Owners around service quality - Creates and maintains service descriptions, profiles and service-level agreements (SLAs) for specific services in the organizations service catalog - Is accountable for understanding of the vendor contracts and leads annual renewal work - Ensures 3rd party contracts are in support of the SLA with service owners 30% Project Work - Oversee and/or manage multiple fast-paced projects dealing with business integration, system initialization, master data setup and integration, and support optimization. - Leads investment gate reviews for service improvements to ensure the change will not disrupt the service or its support - Represents the service in SteerCo level decision meetings, presenting issues, recommendations and/or risks and issues. - Manage all Enterprise Trade detailed design and documentation of functional specifications for development teams. - Point person for all needs and requests from development team. - Manage project development teams to ensure thorough development and testing and provide final approval to move enterprise trade technical changes to Quality Assurance & Production. - Assist business partners with Enterprise trade QA testing to ensure thoroughness and completeness. - Provide management with business approval to move to production along with all supporting test documentation. 10% Team Leadership - Lead and manage Information Technology Enterprise Trade Team. - Manages members of the e4 technical support team, focused on Infrastructure, Break/Fix and enhancement design, and testing across all components of the application. - Lead project developers on all enterprise trade technology activities. - Responsible for talent management, organizational resource planning, succession planning, and recruitment within a local functional group. - Responsible for team performance appraisals, compensation, benefits, individual development planning, diversity action planning, and employee engagement action planning. - Manage and provide direction to any contractors. Job Complexity: - Superior critical thinking skills with the ability to formulate and develop innovative solutions to solve enterprise trade opportunities. - Expert knowledge of enterprise trade technology landscape within a sales construct as well as IT standards, process, infrastructure and systems. - Superior knowledge of business processes across sales and financial workstreams - Superior ability to design and implement meaningful proof of concepts for new technologies yielding relevant and clear results - Expertise in collaboration with the ability to handle conflict and work with a distributed team - Oversight of Information Technology Function leading and executing Campbell's Enterprise Trade Processes, Data, & Controls Services and operational leadership of assigned IT team. - Collaborating and coordinating shared resources through Enterprise Trade Technology services and project delivery. Minimum Requirements / Job Specifications: Business Competencies - Expertise in trade planning and execution business principles, practices, and processes - Strong ability to interact and work with business partners on creating functional specifications of business needs and how they map to reporting requirements. - Cultivates and demonstrates industry-specific business process knowledge and familiarity with relevant enterprise, business unit, and functional strategies, objectives, and plans. - Excellent business acumen and mastery of total business knowledge of sales and specifically trade processes in consumer-packaged goods. - Fully Competent in IT Service Pricing and Finance Acumen - Fully Competent in Contract Negotiation and Vendor Management Technical Competencies - Strong understanding of technologies within the Sales space - Has a sound understanding of Sales / Trade Support, Service Architecture and business requirements - Strong understanding of SAP Master Data - Capable of design and management of a cross system / environment integration plans. - Understand effects of data processing jobs on enterprise trade operations and reporting processes. - Translates business priorities into appropriate solutions while assessing feasibility and optimization of the solution. - Responsible to maintain the integrity of CAS enterprise trade system functionality during technical changes, system upgrades, global projects, and foundational service downtimes. - Excellent facilitation skills, including experience participating in SAP blueprint and design sessions. - Ability to investigate data and analyze patterns. - Ability to quickly learn and understand critical data/information needs of the business. - Can create, articulate and manage IT Continuity for their service Personal Competencies - Possess excellent problem definition, integrated solutions, and communication skills for effective advocacy and influencing of sales business teams - Strong conceptual thinker - Ability to teach and/or present complex ideas/concepts with clarity and simplicity - Strong motivational skills and ability to champion, cheerlead and inspire - Ability to develop innovative and effective solutions holistically - Action and results oriented - Self-starting, persistent individual with tenacity, resilience, courage, assertiveness, enthusiasm, ambition and commitment - Ability to assess and tailor communication approach / style to suit the situation - Ability to grasp abstract ideas and cut to the heart of an issue in a factual and logical way - Ability to encourage/mentor team to achieve required business outcomes as a cohesive unit Minimum Requirements - Bachelors degree in computer science, business administration, accounting, or closely related discipline.
