Job Description Job Description SUMMARY: The Prevention
Coordinator provides vision, leadership and oversight of the RISE
UP Prevention Program encompassing Drug Prevention evidence-based
Education and Awareness, Older Adult WISE/SBIRT programming and the
Prevention Community Coalition for Special Populations. The
Prevention Coordinator would report to the Assistant Director of
Prevention Services. Duties and Responsibilities : The Prevention
Coordinator will Lead and provide vision to the Prevention
Department in providing quality EBP implementation that meets
fidelity requirements, needs assessments of the community members
and meets program’s deliverables. Recruit, develop and foster
strategic partnerships with stakeholders that reflect, advocate and
work with the community populations we serve. Supervise the leaders
and staff of individual programs ( Senior Prevention Counselor,
WISE/SBIRT Prevention Counselors) Monitor, prepare, lead the
programmatic evaluations ( internally and by funders)this includes
funder audits, program recertifications, monthly reports,
quality/compliance assurance. Represent Elmcor RISE UP Prevention
Program and Projects at OASAS meetings and external community
events. Complete annual report and work plans for all programs
Initiate new linkages with organizations to ensure a broad reach of
services to all areas of Queens. Attend all mandatory trainings as
prescribed for each program by OASAS Receive and maintain
Credentialed Prevention Professional (CPP) or Credentialed
Prevention Specialist (CPS) current Lead, organize and convene the
Prevention Community Coalition Maybe be required to work late
evening and weekends Participate in leadership meetings, agency
awareness, outreach and recruitment events Other duties at the
discretion of supervisor Qualifications: To perform this job

Experience CPS or CPP: or CASAC-T with 1 year of experience in the
provision of prevention services, meeting the 60 hours Prevention
specific training, and actively working towards obtaining CPS/CPP
certification. Bachelor’s Degree in a social sciences or related
area; Master’s Degree preferred. Computer skills Must successfully
complete a criminal background check, obtain clearance from the
Office of Children and Family Services and be drug free. Experience
in working with youth and adults in a nonprofit setting as a
supervisor and manager of community programs. Experience in
prevention and recovery services and behavior, and/or youth
development, and/or youth education programs, organizing Prefer
bilingual Spanish. The schedule may vary between 10:00 AM–6:00 PM,
9:00 AM–5:00 PM, and 8:00 AM–3:00 PM (when working in schools).
